PROJECT FEASIBILITY 

What size and type of house is right for you and your block?   Does your budget match your vision?

Farside will:

· Commission a block plan if required

· Review Council and Residential Code regulations within the context of your proposed project

· Prepare a topline budget to help you decide if it ‘stacks up’.

CONCEPT DESIGN

Which architect, designer or draftsperson best suits the needs of your project?

Farside will:

· Develop your design brief to ensure your vision and budget are correctly documented at the start of the process 

· Prepare a Floor Plan & 3D renders to give you confidence when making design and budgetary decisions.

Have you considered going Owner Builder but are hesitant because of the perceived risk?

This decision has a huge impact on the viability of your project. Choosing Owner Builder can save you up to 10% on your total project cost. More if we handle the Design Management as well.

And it needn't be a stress. Farside offers the highest level of construction project management so you can sit back and enjoy the process.

PROJECT COST AND TIMELINE

We love our Concept Design! So, how much will it cost and how long will it take?

Farside will:

· Prepare a detailed Cost Estimate of your Concept Design

· Prepare a project timeline and discuss living arrangements during construction

TENDER PROCESS

This process will finalise the construction cost and duration- and a contract to sign. 

Farside will:

· Develop tender package and invitation to select builders or individual trades

· Review all quotes

· Review or prepare project timeline

· Select appropriate builder or subcontractors and complete contract documentation.

TOWN PLANNING APPROVAL

Don’t get tangled in red tape. Our experience with council ensures your application is processed efficiently.

Farside will:

· Develop Town Planning drawings

· Manage pre-app meetings with Council

· Prepare Town Planning package in accordance with all Statutory requirements

· Manage questions and requests from Council on your behalf

· Secure Town Planning Permit.

conSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Farside offers comprehensive management of your construction project. If you’ve chosen to engage a Builder we’ll mediate between the people involved - with just one point of contact for you.

If you’ve chosen to be an Owner Builder, we can be your Owner Builder "Builder" by managing the entire process through onsite supervision and offsite project management.

Either way, we’ll ensure everything runs like clockwork until we hand you the keys and pop a champers.

BUILDING PERMIT APPROVAL

Once you have your Town Planning permit, Farside will engage & manage all external consultants to secure your Building Permit.

Farside will:

· Manage the preparation of working drawings including FF&E schedule

· Prepare documentation package for Building Surveyor

· Secure Building Permit.

MOVING IN & DEFECTS PERIOD

Will I have to ring each tradesman and try to get them back to fix things?

Farside will:

Remain your sole point of contact long after all the trades have left.  This means you won’t have to work out which trade is responsible for the defect or waste valuable time trying to get them back to fix it.

Farside will take the stress of this process and ensure a speedy resolution with the minimum of disruption.
